Experts you can trust to care for your child with compassion
It seems like children younger and younger are getting braces these days…and for good reason. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends every child see an orthodontic specialist by age 7 to evaluate if growth and development of the teeth and jaws are following normal patterns. Although the majority of children do not need early treatment, if issues are present, a short phase of interceptive orthodontic treatment can provide huge benefits and possibly save your child from developing complex orthodontic problems later that may require more invasive treatment (such as permanent tooth extractions or even jaw surgery). Drs. Cornali and McDonald are experts in growth and development of the teeth and jaws and will thoroughly evaluate your child to see if early treatment is necessary to guide your child to a healthy bite and smile.
Is your child ready…
Some children begin to show common orthodontic issues as early as age 6 that can be intercepted and corrected with early treatment. Some of the most common orthodontic issues that benefit from early treatment include: crowding, under-bites, over-bites, cross-bites (top teeth fitting inside of lower teeth), impacted teeth, and even airway and breathing issues. At your child’s complimentary consultation, Drs. Cornali and McDonald complete a thorough examination of your child’s teeth and jaws to assess if their growth and development is normal or if intervention is necessary. If early treatment is recommended, goals of treatment are clearly defined and addressed with treatment usually lasting around 12 months. After early treatment is complete, your child’s braces will be removed and they will receive retainers to help maintain the long-term benefits of treatment. After treatment, Drs. Cornali and McDonald provide complimentary periodic growth and development evaluations to determine the need for further comprehensive treatment.

What Our Patients Are Saying
“We love the fact that the Dr’s have always taken a personal interest in our daughter’s treatment and all of her activities outside of the orthodontist. The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable.”Hailey's Dad
“For me the most enjoyable part of my treatment was the ease in which it was done. I’m a soccer player so I don’t have a lot of free time but Drs. Cornali and McDonald made it really easy for me to come in and get my treatment done. Now a lot of people notice my smile. In 7th grade I had a really messed up smile, my front teeth were crooked, and now I feel a lot more confident with my smile. I smile in pictures now, where before I would keep a straight face. It has really improved my confidence and I feel good with my smile!”Coleman
“Why did you choose our office for Coleman’s smile? “I have seen the results that came out of this practice and knew I wanted to take Coleman there. When I was looking for an orthodontist for Coleman I would ask people where they did their children’s braces and saw the results of their treatment. I wanted a beautiful smile that was natural and fit Coleman’s unique smile. I looked at the results from different offices and noticed that the best and most natural looking smiles came from Cornali and McDonald Orthodontics.”Coleman’s Mom
